Description

In traditional Chinese culture, the peacock is revered as the Bird of Nine Virtues. Its lifelong devotion symbolizes enduring love and fidelity.

In the East, it embodies the grace of the phoenix, while in the West, it is the favorite creature of Hera, the goddess of marriage. The Macau Timepiece Museum houses a collection of peacock-themed pocket watches—each telling the romantic tale of its curators - the curator's wife once interpreted the peacock's beauty through her elegant dance in youth, while the curator quietly expressed his love through collecting these horological peacock tributes.

In the golden age of enamel-painted pocket watches, the peacock stood as a beloved muse for master enamellers, its beauty captured time and again in vibrant detail. The Plumira timepiece draws inspiration from these historical treasures, transforming the opulence of 19th-century enamel artistry into a timeless ode to the modern muse.

The 33mm case reinterprets 1980s geometric aesthetics—its polygonal lines complementing the vivid brilliance of peacock feathers in a harmony of retro elegance and contemporary edge. Each dial features naturally shed feathers, masterfully inlaid through the traditional art of plumasserie.

In horological history, pairs of matching mirror-image pocket watches made for the Chinese market have long been a treasured theme in museum collections. Following this tradition, each pair of Plumira watches undergoes hundreds of selections to achieve perfect mirrored symmetry, echoing the cherished Chinese symbolism of harmony and togetherness.

Every timepiece is a singular moment of space and time, its mesmerizing peacock eye shifting from deep sapphire blue to emerald green, finally settling into warm amber, like an aurora sealed beneath the dial. Every movement of light across its surface is an intimate conversation with nature itself.

Sustainability
Only naturally shed peacock feathers are used, while the case is crafted from a recyclable, eco-friendly alloy, balancing environmental responsibility with the uncompromising craftsmanship of fine watchmaking.
