Breitling springs a surprise by enriching the Breitling for Bentley collection with a rectangular watch featuring an original design. An exceptional timepiece dedicated to the “winged B”, the historical emblem of the famous British manufacturer.

A Bentley is far more than a car: it is a work of art, crafted with infinite concern for detail. Dedicated to the most prestigious of automobile marques, the latest newcomer to the Breitling for Bentley collection likewise asserts itself as a luxurious and sophisticated creation. First of all through its case, endowed with cambered rectangular lines reflecting the elegance of a coupé or cabriolet model. Also through its generous yet elegant dimensions establishing a powerful presence on the wrist, as well as its play on angles and curves. The surprising nature of the Flying B stems not just from this rectangular design, the first “shaped” case in the Breitling for Bentley collection. It is also distinguished by its original display mode featuring a jumping hour mechanism in which the hour hand is replaced by a disc at 12 o'clock. Minutes are read off in a more conventional way by means of a single hand placed at the dial centre. Meanwhile, the seconds are shown on an off-centred subdial at 6 o'clock. Like all models in the Breitling for Bentley collection, the new Flying B takes to the road with an exceptional motorisation: selfwinding Breitling Caliber 28B, officially chronometercertified by the COSC.

The dial of the Flying B constitutes a masterpiece of artistry and craftsmanship in its own right. Embodying unique know-how, it reveals a wealth of details such as the knurled motif inspired by Bentley instrumentation, and hour-markers sculpted from mother-of-pearl. Its play on reliefs and materials is enhanced by a subtle touch of colour echoed in the central part and in the jumping hour aperture.The slightly cambered dial profile required a show of considerable ingenuity by the artisans, as did the curving shape of the bevelled sapphire crystal, glareproofed both sides.

The caseback reveals the symbol that gave this exclusive timepiece its name: the legendary Bentley “Flying B” which served for decades as the emblematic insignia of these British-made cars. An emblem reminiscent of another legendary signature, the Breitling winged B… Borne on the wings of this doubly prestigious renown, the Flying B is available in steel. It is also produced in a refined red gold version as well as in a series in white gold, the height of discreet luxury. It is fitted with an elegant overstitched strap or with a Speed bracelet.

Breitling crée la surprise en ajoutant à la collection Breitling for Bentley une montre rectangulaire au design inédit. Un nouveau garde-temps d'exception dédié au «B ailé», emblème historique de la célèbre marque britannique.

Une Bentley est bien plus qu'une voiture: une oeuvre d'art, façonnée avec un souci infini du détail. Dédiée à la plus prestigieuse des marques automobiles, la dernière née de la collection Breitling for Bentley s'impose elle aussi comme une création luxueuse et sophistiquée. Par son boîtier d'abord, doté de lignes rectangulaires cambrées rappelant l'élégance d'un coupé ou d'un cabriolet. Par ses volumes imposants mais racés qui signent une présence forte au poignet. Par son jeu d'angles et de galbes. La Flying B ne surprend pas seulement par ce design rectangulaire, premier boîtier «de forme» dans la collection Breitling for Bentley. Elle se distingue également par son mode d'affichage original, avec un mécanisme à heure sautante où l'aiguille des heures est remplacée par un disque à 12h. La lecture de la minute s'effectue de manière plus conventionnelle grâce à l'aiguille unique placée au centre du cadran. Quant à la seconde, elle s'affiche sur un petit cadran excentré à 6h. Comme tous les modèles de la collection Breitling for Bentley, la nouvelle Flying B prend la route avec une motorisation d'exception: le Calibre Breitling 28B à remontage automatique, officiellement certifié chronomètre par le COSC.

Le cadran de la Flying B constitue à lui seul un vrai chef-d'oeuvre d'art et d'artisanat. Fruit d'un savoir-faire unique, il révèle des détails d'une très grande richesse, tel le motif moleté inspiré des boutons de commande Bentley ou les index horaires sculptés dans la nacre. Son jeu de reliefs et de matières s'orne d'une touche subtile de couleur, reprise en écho dans la partie centrale et dans le guichet de l'heure sautante. Le profil légèrement cambré du cadran a exigé des artisans des trésors d'ingéniosité, tout comme la forme incurvée du verre saphir biseauté, avec traitement antireflet sur les deux faces.

Sur le fond du boîtier, on retrouve le symbole d'où ce garde-temps exclusif a tiré son nom: le mythique «Flying B» de Bentley, le «B volant» qui fut la figure de proue des automobiles britanniques pendant des décennies. Un emblème qui n'est pas sans rappeler une autre signature légendaire, le B ailé de Breitling… Portée par les ailes de cette double renommée, la Flying B est proposée en version acier. Elle est également manufacturée dans une prestigieuse version en or rouge ainsi que dans une série en or gris, summum du luxe discret. Elle se porte sur un élégant bracelet en cuir surpiqué ou sur un bracelet métallique Speed.
