Nour la Lumière introduces a Day/Night complication into AKHOR’s patented dual-disc architecture, here enhanced by a third, hand-engraved 5N gold disc. Beneath the suspended display, this large disc completes one full rotation every twenty-four hours, revealing the entire cycle of a desert sky. Dunes emerge in delicate bas-relief beneath a grazing glow. Stars appear suspended within the depth of the night sky. In the foreground, a dromedary and its rider cross the landscape in miniature painting, executed entirely by hand by a master artisan. A pictorial illusion of extraordinary precision, achieved on a surface measured in millimetres.
Hidden within the case, a hand-engraved inscription in Arabic script –نور, meaning “light” – places the name of the creation in intimate proximity to the movement itself, a discreet signature known only to its owner. The 40 mm cushion-shaped case in 18-carat 5N red gold, paired with a bezel set with 120 baguette-cut diamonds (4.85 ct), radiates a warm amber glow reminiscent of the desert at first light. Powering this three-disc architecture is the AK10 calibre, the Maison’s hand-wound manufacture movement. Delivering a 60-hour power reserve, it provides the mechanical foundation for a creation that unites contemporary watchmaking with the enduring artistry of the Métiers d’Art.
