Description

The Lady Kalla has been a benchmark in jewelry watches since its creation in 1980. Sculpted in a block of 18-carat white gold, covered with 30 carats of diamonds, split between case, strap and dial, the watch is set with more than 120 white emerald cut diamonds. Its dial is also paved with 15 emerald-cut diamonds. Carefully selected, they have a uniform color, purity and proportions. For the tenth edition of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie de Genève, the watch is presented on a satin strap with folding buckle, also set. A version with 27 diamonds (8 carats). Combining Haute Joaillerie and Haute Horlogerie, the Lady Kalla contains a mechanical hand-wound baguette-shaped movement with a thickness of 3.75 mm. Decorated with "Côtes de Genève", like all Vacheron Constantin movements during this period, it has 17 rubies and its frequency is 19,800 vph. In order not to alter the aesthetic of the timepiece, the winding crown is placed under the movement. On November 29, 2001, for its first edition, the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix crowned the Lady Kalla with the golden needle, a prestigious trophy saluting the expertise and creativity of more than two hundred years of the Maison.
