Description

The Classic Auto Horizon reintroduces a refined design now integrated into Laurent Ferrier’s permanent collection, featuring a serene horizon blue dial first unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2025. Inspired by 19th-century pocket watches, its 40 mm stainless steel case houses the robust LF270.01 calibre, a self-winding movement with a platinum micro-rotor, offering over 72 hours of power reserve.

Originally developed for the Sport Auto, this versatile movement ensures durability, precision, and elegance, ideal for daily wear. The horizon blue dial owes its depth to a fine layer of translucent blue lacquer applied to a base treated with a silver galvanic coating. This finish is enhanced by a vertical satin-brushed centre and a circular-brushed minute track, adding texture and light play. Refined details such as white gold Assegai hands, drop-shaped indices, and a snailed small seconds subdial reflect Laurent Ferrier’s poetic minimalism.

At 3 o’clock, a unique stamped date aperture gently slopes inward, creating a sense of depth and drawing the eye toward the date indication, which is transferred in slate grey on a white disc. This architectural feature is framed by a fine dark blue transfer, contributing both contrast and visual coherence.

Through the sapphire case back, the movement reveals exceptional craftsmanship: each component is meticulously hand-finished within the Laurent Ferrier workshops. From the rhodium-plated Côtes de Genève to the hand-polished bevels and the engraved platinum rotor adorned with feather-like motifs, every detail reflects the maison’s uncompromising devotion to haute horlogerie.

This timepiece is a testament to Laurent Ferrier’s commitment to timeless design and high horological artistry.
