Watch-making inspiration

FIYTA has a deep tie with the Chinese manned spaceflight. On October 15, 2003, as Shenzhou V ascended, China formally had owned the first space watch developed by FIYTA. In 2008, FIYTA Exterior Space Suit Watch was on an off-capsule mission with Shenzhou VII astronauts, witnessing China’s first spacewalk, a historic moment ever recorded. From Shenzhou V to Shenzhou XI, FIYTA watch had firmly accompanied the astronauts as they faced the extreme space environment.

FIYTA “Spacewalk” fine-engraving special wristwatch is themed on “Human Spaceflight”. Traditional micro- engraving and gem-set techniques are used to reproduce the historical moment of astronauts' spacewalk in the wristwatch, paying tribute to the legend of China’s space program.

Technical Details

“Spacewalk” wristwatch gives a vivid depiction of when an astronaut waves his hands out of the space cabin. On the dial, the astronaut is floating in the air and waving his hand out of the cabin, while himself is connected to the space capsule only through the safety rope. His posture is vivid and full of artistic expression. The superb technicians use diamond chisel sickles and micro-engraving knives to chisel its way along points and lines to create every detail lines and patterns of the astronaut’s movement, which is exquisite and unique. The space capsule has clear edges and corners, the use of different colored metal materials brings a contrast of light and dark. The natural sapphires inlay in the space capsule and other decorating details，highlight the delicate of the craft. The cabin is setting on a dark blue colored goldstone dial surface, which has shining dots of blinking stars, creating the deep and mysteriousness feature of outer space.

Time reading

The time reading method of this wristwatch is a technology innovation of the FIYTA Group on the mechanical movement. FIYTA redesigned and restructured the automatic movement to get a chic and unique way in displaying time. Instead of the regular way of reading time by hour and minute hands on the dial，one can know the time by reading the ruby , which goes in a clockwise circular orbit on the exterior scaled track of the dial. This unique design allows for precise timing, indicating time as a rotating planet，while enabling a full expression of the spaceflight theme on the dial.

Fine texture

The craftsmanship of this wristwatch is refined, the watch case is made of 18K gold through high-precision CNC machining and post- polishing. The entire case is smooth and glossy, and each part can be accurately aligned. The watch glass is made of synthetic sapphire material after complex grinding to form a spherical double-domed shape. Pumpkin-shaped crown inlaid with natural sapphire and 18K rose-gold buckle demonstrate FIYTA's persistent pursuit of high Quality. The strap is made of high-quality and delicate blue-colored goat leather, which not only provides the user with a comfortable wearing experience, also integrates with the color of the dial to highlight the theme of spaceflight.
