Original explosion for an original setting

BIG BANG TOURBILLON POWER RESERVE 5 DAYS HIGH JEWELLERY IMPACT BANG

Inspired by the famous Big Bang, representing the original explosion, this brand new High Jewellery watch perfectly represents the Art of Fusion in the métiers d’art of the closed setting and of the diamonds cutting in new improbable shapes, giving birth to a UNIQUE and different product. This new timepiece integrates a tourbillon calibre whose cage is the centre of the outbreak of this diamonds explosion.

Transcending savoir-faire, innovating to write its own future, Hublot never ceases to surprise. With the Big Bang Tourbillon Power Reserve 5 Days High Jewellery Impact Bang, Hublot confirms its status as a trendsetter. It has invented a new type of setting. It is unique and has an impact on the codes of jewellers and gem cutters or of jewellery and gem cutting. With its audacious architecture, this characterful setting called “Impact Bang” juxtaposes a mosaic of diamonds of original and unconventional forms.

When the watchmaker Hublot explores the territory of traditional art forms, it always affixes its vision and its innovation. A fusion of tradition and the future, the Big Bang Tourbillon Power Reserve 5 Days High Jewellery Impact Bang has a spectacular and innovative setting, whose unique aesthetics are subject to a patent developed with the House of Salanitro—the Swiss reference in terms of creating and setting high jewellery watches.

The “Impact Bang” setting proposes a ground-breaking design that evokes the Big Bang. As a result of the explosion of matter, the diamond is disseminated into a multitude of baguettes of different sizes and forms. Gems are then set using the invisible close set technique. The gems interlock with each other like the mosaic of a mirror. The result is an ultra-graphic artistic expression of jewellery.

At first sight, the setting appears to be a random assembly of fragments of gemstones. Behind this apparent simplicity lies the most advanced jewellery and technical expertise. A project that required several months of development to find the combination that would allow the perfect interlocking, in a mosaic, of the 484 baguettes of the dial, the case and the clasp, with each of them having a different size and form.

In white gold, the Big Bang Impact Bang is set with white diamonds with a total carat weight of 30.55 carats. Limited to 50 pieces, each model required almost 400 hours of R&D and production, as well as 240 hours of setting. Its 45-mm case and its bezel are set with 387 gems whose form each have a different size. Its dial constructed of 64 baguette diamonds reveals, through the framework created by two impacts, the HUB6016 manufacture manual-winding skeleton movement, its tourbillon at 6 o’clock and its 115-hour power reserve at 9 o’clock. Its black alligator sewn onto rubber strap is enhanced by a clasp set with 33 shaped gems each with a different cut.

An innovative architecture, an audacious approach, and a design with impact. This is the Hublot style!
