The Perpetual Calendar Heritage Limited Edition is a tribute to watchmaking past and present. Reinterpreting an H. Moser watch dating from the 19th century into wristwatch form, it is the result of H. Moser & Cie's 187 years of watchmaking expertise. The Schaffhausen-based Manufacture has created a showpiece, highlighting the main skills of the watchmaker's art, and combining them with a modern solid gold hand-wound Manufacture calibre. Not less than five artisans have worked together to achieve the creation of the Perpetual Calendar Heritage, combining the most distinguished of master crafts: “cloisonné” enamel for the case with two covers, opened using a push-button mechanism, “Grand Feu” enamel for the dial, guilloché work, engraving and setting all combine to create a tour de force of the watchmaker's art and to better sublimate it.
The beating heart of this exceptional timepiece is the hand-wound, manufacture-made HMC 341 perpetual calendar calibre. Created from solid 18-carat gold, this movement is hand-finished and decorated in the purest watchmaking tradition. Two functional diamonds adorn the shock absorber in its modular Moser escapement which has a double hairspring, every component of which was produced in-house. This calibre enables the date to be adjusted forwards or backwards at any time of day. Using the "Flash Calendar" mechanism, the date can be changed in a fraction of a second, driven by the energy accumulated during the day. This movement is also equipped with two barrels, for a minimum power reserve of 7 days.
The Perpetual Calendar Heritage Limited Edition provides a perfect link between tradition and modernity, two elements which coexist in all H. Moser creations.
